United Continental Holdings; currently the largest airline operator in the world, is set to tap in to the emerging market of Africa to the United States flights. This year, it is thought that the airline will start offering more flights to Africa from the United States as more and more travellers are thought to want to go to the continent.
United Airlines has actually only just started serving the Africa to the US market last year with their Houston to Lagos route but now, it is thought that the airline will start to offer more Africa to the US flights. Delta Airlines; one of the major rivals of the United Airlines company ,has already announced plans to tap into the emerging market by offering a range of new routes to Africa from the US. there are currently only a small amount of flights from the US to Africa which presents a huge opportunity for airlines as more and more travellers make Africa a destination for themselves.
Africa to the US has previously been a niche market and usually a route that is served via flights via Europe. However ,with increasing popularity comes a large opportunity for United and other airlines.
