Tanya Marsh joined the Wake Forest faculty in 2010, following a ten-year career practicing real estate and corporate law in Indianapolis, Indiana, including nearly five years as the Vice President of Legal for Kite Realty Group Trust, a real estate investment trust traded on the NYSE. Tanya teaches real estate transactions and property.

Wake Forest Law Professor Tanya Marsh, whose research focuses on cemetery law in the United States, will present a one-hour discussion in uptown Charlotte to shed light on the myths surrounding human remains and discuss what rights decedents have under North Carolina law to dictate the disposition of their remains, how the competing claims of surviving family members are resolved, and what kinds of disposition options are available.
The Cemetery Law Lunch and Learn, ?Unearthing the Law of Decedent Control of Their Remains,? will be held at noon on Thursday, Jan. 31, at the WFU Charlotte Center, 200 N. College St.? The event is sponsored by the Samuel Wait Legacy Society of Wake Forest.
Registration begins at 11:45 a.m. with the seminar beginning promptly at noon and lasting until 1:10 p.m. The cost will be $30 per person, covering a boxed lunch, drink and parking in the adjacent deck. Space is limited so please register as soon as possible. Approval of one hour of CLE credit for attending this event is pending with the North Carolina State Bar.
