Dynasty Warriors games have always been known for being really huge with tons of characters, weapons, stages and customization options. But Koei doesn?t seem to think they?ve done anything they could in this regard: in Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper coming on WII U there?s going to be over 130 playable characters!
Warriors Orochi 3 is an upgraded port of Warriors Orochi 3 released earlier this year on Ps3 and Xbox 360. The game is the fourth entry in the series which combines the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series. The game features the usual Dynasty Warriors hack and slash gameplay with a few additions: a bond system will alter the scenario, characters interactions and even unlock special missions. While in a town players will be able to visit the weapon shop and go into the Restaurant, another way to improve bonding between characters. More tweakings include combination attacks with two or three members of a team, swapping characters on the fly and a Musou Battlefield mode where players will be able to create their own content and publish it online.
The Hyper version, exlcusive to Wii U, will add a new multiplayer mode, more playable characters as seen in the video below and the Off Tv play option. The Wii U version will also have overall improved visuals but at the cost of global performance with a slower frame rate and less characters on screen.
Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper will be available on Wii U on launch day in all regions.
